Sunny Day at Seacliff

My sister Jenessa came down to visit yesterday,
just because she wanted too  :)
The weather was so beautiful that we decided
to go to the beach and let the boys and Gypsy run, run, run!
Keeping Danny's head dry and sand free
was a bit of challenge but we pulled it off.

Danny loved to have Nessa take him down to the water.
He would say, "See it, the ocean, get it, get it, get it!"
and they would run down into the water, splash and run back.
He had the biggest smile on his face!
He also loved to be a tractor in the sand.  Gypsy liked this game too.

Austin spent a lot of his time playing
and building sand forts and castles
with other kids on the beach.
When not doing that he would just
run back and forth in the water.

We also built a little sand stick fort together too,
Austin and I put the sticks in the sand,
Nessa gathered the rocks and
Danny placed them around the fort.

This is my favorite beach and
I have been there a lot in the last 2 years.
But today was the first time I had ever seen
this metal something or other in the sand.
Austin had fun playing there,
using it as a fort
until one of his shovels got washed away!

We stayed and played all afternoon til the fog rolled in.

Then we went and ate
at my new favorite little place
called Erik's Deli Cafe.
They serve their drinks in Mason jars
and have delicious clam chowder and sandwiches.
They even have peanut butter and jelly sandwiches
on their "ankle biter" menu!
If you are ever in the San Jose/Santa Cruz area
I highly recommend you give them a try!
