Easter #4

And our final Easter Party was at home, on Easter Sunday.

All the cousins
Danny and Maysie hunting eggs together
Nessa and Beamer.  I LOVE this picture of her!
A heartbroken Hannah.  She had been so close to finding the Golden Egg
 Papa and Hannah
 Austin and Gillian
 Me and my Danny Boy
Me and my Boys, including my newest boy, David  :)
My boys...Danny was being especially brave after the "ant incident".  I learned a valuable lesson about checking for ant hills, before I ask the boys to sit somewhere for a picture.  You should see the way Danny crushes any ant he sees now with a vengeance!
Silly boys - they bring me so much joy!

Easter #3

Our Third Easter Egg Hunt was with David and his family.  The boys had a great time and I barely saw them the whole time!

Roses that smell even prettier than they look
The Boys and Brittney.  This is part of the reason I hardly saw them; they love her!
 Hunting for eggs
Counting their eggs with Emily to see who was the winner.
 Pretty Blossoms

Easter #2

Our second Easter party was at the Hulbert's home.  It was a huge party with friends from school and church alike.  Austins favorite part was getting to find a real egg and turning it in for a full sized candy bar!
Danny loved getting to decorate his cookie with candies that spelled out his name.

Maysie and Danny, waiting for the hunt to begin
Austin and his school friends, Jake and Eric

Easter Egg Hunt #1

The boys had their first egg hunt this morning. They loved the hunt, decorating cookies, swinging and Austin won a bunny at the estimation station!

Easter

We celebrated Easter a week early, and I am so glad we did because we got beautiful weather, and the kids were fully able to enjoy being outdoors!
Cousin Round Up so the Easter egg hunting could begin.  These are some of my most favorite silly pictures ever!
 And the hunt begins!

Success - Austin finally found the golden egg - Uncle Mark hid it really well!
Aunt Jan and cousin Katie - Grandma and Mom
Enjoying the yummy food and the Easter bunny cake!
Uncle Laith was the hit of the tire swinging party.  I think he spent at least an hour pushing all the kids!  Nessa grabbed my camera and got some really good shots of it all!

And Nessa also took some pictures of me and my boys too  :)

The Roads That Lead Home

To me, my childhood home just wouldn't be home without red dirt.
And in the spring, when everything is green, there is no place more beautiful.
While at my parents the boys love to play outside.  We knew a storm was heading our way so we spent Saturday afternoon outside playing and exploring, taking advantage of the last bit of nice weather.

Easter Weekend

I have such a wonderful family!  Those that could came down this weekend not just to spend Easter with us but to also help Bryce replace his Dad's roof.  My brothers and Dad were such a help to Bryce in pulling off 4 layers of previous roof!  Then, unfortunately, the rain moved in and they had to tarp it all off and call it quits.
It was really fun for us to have family here this weekend.  For Austin, having his cousin Taska here was like one big play date!  Austin and Taska decided to make a solar system.  They worked really hard (and really well together)!  I love the martian on Mars!

Tanya, the kids and I kept plenty busy while the guys were working.
Saturday morning we went to Austin's baseball game and after lunch we went down to the beach.  When we got to the beach the sun came out and it was beautiful!

We dragged the kids away from the beach to do to the local egg hunt, which was a bust.  When we got there, there was no more parking nearby and they wouldn't let us park along the side of the road.  So we had to drive down to another parking lot and start hiking back up the hill with the kids in tow.  By the time we got halfway back up the hill we meet people coming back down the hill because it was already over!  Austin was really upset so went back home and had a hunt of our own.

Easter morning was really cold and gray.  After we did breakfast and baskets we bundled up and went outside to play with bubbles and chalk.  Gypsy had just as much fun catching the bubbles as the kids did!

By afternoon it was pouring down rain, so the guys were home by lunch.  Today is also Bryce's birthday so I baked him his favorite chocolate chip cookies!  His birthday gift is a super new custom made bumper for his truck!
Whew!  What a weekend!  I am looking forward to Austin's spring break this week and getting to spend more time with family this coming weekend!
