Trunk or Treat!

Trunk or Treat was great.  Austin got to make the rounds on his own with his friends this year and he loved it!  Danny loved it as well, so much so that about every couple minutes he would say "I like trick or treat!"

Here is the proof that Danny and Maysie can, in fact, get along (at least for brief periods of time!)
Maysie was the cutest viking ever.  Tanya, designed and made her costume and managed to pull it off in about 4 days - I love it!

All Dressed Up

Here we are in our costumes, all dressed up and ready to go!

Pumpkins!

Austin's original pumpkin that he picked this year got busted, and despite our efforts to stitch it up it still rotted before we could carve it.  So we went with Great Grandma Warner and Oma to Zittles pumpkin patch in Folsom.  It was such a cute place, I wish I had taken my camera with me that night!  Austin decided he really wanted a white pumpkin.  He named it Moonlight, and decided it should be carved with stars and moons.  And because his pumpkin had a name he insisted that Danny and I name ours as well.  When it came time to carve them, Danny wanted nothing to do with the process, besides approving the face I drew to carve.  Austin wanted so badly to carve his own pumpkin but white pumpkins have a very tough shell (I have the bruise on my arm to show how tough it was to scrap out!), so he wasn't able to do the actual carving.  He did still have a lot of fun though and was a great helper!

New Look?

My sweet baby sister and her friend Brittany who is a hair stylist (at Shear FX in Shingle Springs) conspired together to get me in and get my hair done.  Brittany is a beautiful person, inside and out, and she did such a beautiful job with my hair.  I don't know if the straight is going to stay or not but for now I am having fun with it!

Apple Ridge Farm

I love Fall, and I love Apple Hill!  This year I took the boys to Apple Ridge Farms.  I had never been there before but it had all the required elements; a hay maze, a pumpkin patch, a tractor, apple donuts and a bonus of a sour cream blackberry pie!  We had a wonderful time, even if the day did end with a busted pumpkin (which was mendable thank goodness) and Danny pooping his pants while hiding in the hay maze (oh, potty training, I will not miss you!).

Sweetest Love Note Ever!

Austin made me a love note.  He wrapped it up (with scissors included so I had them to cut the strings off), hid it, and then I had to play the hot/cold game to find it.  I will treasure this note for always!

If You Ask Papa a Question . . .

. . . chances are he will need a pen and paper to go with it
Any one who knows my dad knows how true this is.  Austin asked him a question the other night about how a well works, and of course my dad got a pen and paper to illustrate his answer.  After his explanation Austin still had a question.  He started to ask it and then said, "Wait, hold on a second, I need a pen and paper." and then once supplied with his pen and paper he proceeded to ask the question.  I can't even remember what the question was but his illustration ended up involving some poor guy getting hit by a rock and then electrocuted while drilling a well, and it required a whole emergency response team!
