Thanksgiving Part Deux

We ended up having 4 Thanksgiving dinners this year - one each day from Thursday to Sunday!  We had our little dinner together on Thursday.  On Friday we stopped in to see Bryce's stepdad, Kelly and had dinner with him.  On Saturday it was dinner with with my family and my Grandma Warner, and Sunday with my family again and my Grandad and GoGo.  The whole holiday was so fun!  Good food and good times spent with my wonderful family!  And out of all the festivities I only have pictures from Saturday!  And some of those pictures are thanks to my guest photographers, Jenessa and Laith.  They were able to snap some of the action for me while I was taking care of Gypsy!

Now, on to the pictures!

Jenessa and I had this great idea to take a picture of our puppies in the wagon.  It would be so cute!  It didn't work at all!

Now, let's meet the family:

Mom, Dad, and Grandma Warner

I am the oldest of us 5.  The rest are as follows:

Trevor (my brother), Heidi, Hannah, Tyler and Taska

Bethany (my sister), Gabe and their family were the only ones missing!  They were visiting the Utah portion of the Jukes clan!.  We missed them and can't wait to see them at Christmas!

Mark (my brother), Tanya and Maysie

And Jenessa (my sister) and Laith, my guest photogs!

(I did not put the picture in of Mark and his See Food.  It was just too gross!

Tyler chewing, and chewing and chewing his mouthful of turkey!

Danny loved the Jack in the Box!

Mark playing the instrument Trevor made.  I'm not really sure what it is called, but it had a very bass like sound.
It is a washtub bass and my Dad is the one who made it!

Danny stood like this for half an hour, perfectly still!

The weekend was filled with all sorts of fun Jukes family traditions; shooting, playing in the dirt, jam sessions, crazy stories at the dinner table, Girl's night out to the movies (this year we saw "New Moon"), toys, puppies and kids everywhere, good food and yummy desserts!  It was wonderful!

Thanksgiving Day

We spent Thanksgiving day here at home today.  We were able to have dinner all together before Bryce went in to work.  I was nervous about the turkey because I have only made 1 other and that was 10 years ago!  It was ready in plenty of time and tasted good too, whew!  It is amazing how exhausting it can be to spend a whole day cooking!

This is a candid shot that I took while testing my lighting.  I love how it shows that Austin can't sit still and how charming Danny can be!

I collected the leaves for my centerpiece on our walk yesterday and the branches are from a tree here in the yard but I have no idea what it is, it may even be a bush.  I do know it's not poison oak!  Bryce's dad gave me the cobalt blue glasses and they added the perfect finishing touch!

Austin also helped make the place card/napkin rings (for our super fine Oklahoma linens)!

This is Danny sitting and waiting patiently for dinner to start.  Dinner was still 2 hours away at this point!

Dinner was great.  Bryce's dad brought sparkling cider for the boys and they loved it!  Danny kept looking in his glass and saying "Bubbles!".  He was so excited!

Austin helped make the apple pie.  It turns out that he is really good at cutting in the shortening and taste testing too!

So all in all our day was pretty mellow and very yummy!
I am so thankful for my 3 boys and for all the love and laughter they bring to my life.  I thankful for all my family and friends and for the beauty they add to my life!
♥ We love you all! ♥

Painting with Boys

Bryce decided to let the boys help him paint their room.  They loved it.  They made a mess.  The power went out and I had no hot water to wash them with.  A wet wipe does not remove paint very well.  But in the end  the boys got clean and their room looks great.

This afternoon I went out to do a bit of grocery shopping so I would be ready for our little Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday.  I do not know what possessed me to think that Costco would not be crazy just yet but it was beyond crazy!  It was hard to find a parking spot!  Maybe that should have clued me in!  We ended up just eating some pizza and then headed back home to our local Safeway, which was not crazy at all, thank goodness!
Anyway, I was anxious to get home because I had left Gypsy in her crate and I didn't want to leave her too long.  So as soon as we got home, we freed her and spent the remainder of the afternoon outside, letting her run and play with the boys.  But during all the fun, I forgot about the groceries!  Luckily when Bryce went to leave for work, he noticed that the trunk was popped, so a crisis was adverted!  I don't even want to imagine the nasty mess that would have greeted me tomorrow morning!
Here are some pictures from our afternoon romp:

She runs so fast down the hill that she ends up tumbling!

Trying to catch Danny and his stick horse.

Her Boxer stance.

She listens better than the boys sometimes!

She loves the boys so much!

And running back up the hill, such a bundle of energy!

Snuggling with my girl.

I love this stuff!  It works great to clean up her little accidents, it is all natural and smells wonderful.  I use it for all sorts of messes, both human and puppy!  I highly reccomend it!

Danny at the Beach

My little Danny is such a good little worker.  We were at the beach last week and he spent about 45 minutes dragging every stick he could find and putting it in a pile.  He didn't care how big they were, he was determined!  We also spent at least a half an hour walking down the beach, finding rocks so he could throw them back into the ocean.
